What is up with our logo?
Jesus doesn't need His church to have a logo...but throughout the centuries, the church has used symbols as a form of identity and remembrance. The cross, a fish, a heart on fire...etc. all hold special meanings to the church. Mercer Baptist Church is located in West Tennessee and strategically between three of the largest towns in our area: Jackson, Brownsville, and Bolivar. With a drive time of under twenty minutes from all three, we are a perfect Sunday drive away from any of them. As a local community church, we desire to bring God's kingdom plans and purposes to this area first. We also want to be a sending church. From the overflow of God's grace and blessings in our own backyards, we can be used to reach other areas of Tennesse, America, and the Ends of the Earth for Christ. When we placed our "M" in the middle of this triangle, it looked like a pointing arrow. Reminding us to never get complacent locally, but to be mindful to go.

There is never a dull moment in our Adult Sunday School Groups. Laugh, cry, and learn about God's Grace through the precious blood of Jesus. We have several different groups to choose from. Come and try them out until you find the right group for you!

All children are welcome to partake in our services, but sometimes it's tough for mom and dad. Our caring team of servants will make sure your little one is well taken care through snacks, crafts, age appropriate lessons, and playtime.

Wednesday's are super fun at Mercer! Kids enjoy food, fun, and fellowship while learing an important Bible Lesson! As you bring your kids, plan on joining the Adult Discipleship Group that meets during the same time! During the summer we have "Water and the Word", basically a pool party every week plus all this fun!

Our Middle School and High School kids get together to do life together. They dialog about important life questions while enjoing fellowship, prayer, and Bible study.

On Wednesdays we serve each other a big fat Gospel T-bone. Training and sharpening each other, we pray and go way deep into God's Word and it's mysteries. Dialog driven, everyone is encouraged to engage. Our current topic: "The Book of Revelation".

We are blessed with great equipment at Mercer, but we always need people to help run it! This is a vital ministry to get the Word of God to the people of the world. Technicians to Editors are always needed and encouraged to use their talents to glorify God!

What does that look like in today's society? Let's come together to help each other learn how to Love others and ourselves!

We meet in the church fellowship hall every Tuesday morning until Noon. We have fun quilting blankets to give away to the homeless, hospice, and hurting people around the Nation! Making over 300+ quilts annually, we can use your help! No experience needed, we'll teach you!

Men, we need each other!
Every month on the first and third Tuesdays we encourage our men to join the men's community Bible study that meets at the old Denmark Presbyterian Church @6:00pm. We additionally have monthly fellowships, outings, and trips! No matter the age, if your a male come'on! Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Men, we need to be sharper! Let's help each other to become vitally fashioned and effective men of faith.
